Awesome Black, a First Nations founded and owned creative agency, is seeking a dedicated General/Operations Manager to join our team. This role will play a critical part in driving our mission to amplify First Nations voices and experiences through various mediums, including gaming, podcasting, and digital art.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient and effective execution of business strategies and goals.
  • Manage and support department heads across Projects, Content, Marketing, and Finance.
  • Develop and implement operational policies to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Collaborate with the CEO to develop and execute long-term strategic plans.
  • Monitor and manage performance metrics, providing updates and recommendations to the CEO.
  • Ensure high-quality client relations and satisfaction.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across teams.
  • Lead talent management efforts including recruitment, training, and professional development.
  • Identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the development of business cases and pitches.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Represent Awesome Black at industry events and networking opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in operations management or a similar leadership role.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting and financial planning.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in the creative industry is preferred.
  • Commitment to Awesome Black’s values and mission.
